food: At the beginning they eat just frozen food, after a while also dry food.

aquarium size: In 80x40 cm you can keep them, if there are enough free sandy areas 

socialization: They can easily be kept with smaller Plecos or Tetras. Larger Cichilds can be too intrusive. Smaller fishes, which are living or sleeping at the ground can be eaten.

remark: This species is NOT for beginners! Most Archirus archirus in the trade are Hypoclinemus mentalis. These are coming from North America and they need some salt in the water.
